Awaken The Metropolis: Tadhg

On 23 September 2022, audiences at Meeting House Square had the pleasure of catching a set by emerging artist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and designer, Tadhg. Tadhg was commissioned by Culture Night Dublin to stage a multiform performance in music and costume that was inspired by haute couture and highlighted the beauty of gender fluidity.

For Awaken the Metropolis, Tadhg brought together a community of seamstresses and tailors to create a breathtaking piece of new fashion which placed the masculine form under the crystallised and delicate beauty of the female burlesque dancer. Accompanied by his exceptionally talented band, which included a three-piece brass section, Tadhg brought his magnetic aura and avante garde spirit to the stage in what was one of our favourite events of the year.
